Biography
Before joining Reisenfeld & Associates in October 2009, Mr. Steele served as an associate attorney with Webster, Dubyak & Weyls Co., LPA in Cleveland, Ohio, where he concentrated his practice in commercial litigation and real estate and corporate transactions. While in Cleveland, Mr. Steele represented a range of individual and corporate clients including small business owners, manufacturers, builders, developers, real estate brokerages and salespersons, and financial institutions on a variety of legal matters ranging from business and employment disputes to mergers, acquisitions, and collections. Prior to that, Mr. Steele served as an associate attorney at several Cincinnati-based law firms focusing his practice on commercial litigation and real estate and business transactions.
While attending law school, Mr. Steele served as Symposium Editor for the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution (the American Bar Association's official publication on the subject), studied for one semester at Oxford University, Oxford, England, and was a member of Ohio State’s semifinalist team at the National Environmental Moot Court Competition. He also held law clerk positions with the United State Department of Labor, Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, Franklin County Public Defender's office and Keating, Muething & Klekamp, PLL.
Mr. Steele currently serves as a member of the Ohio ENERGY Project Board of Directors, and as a volunteer for the National Energy Education Development Project. Most recently, Mr. Steele was honored to be selected by his peers and Ohio Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star in 2009 and 2010.
Personal
Matt recently returned to Cincinnati where he lives with his wife and their beagle. He enjoys music and traveling and is an avid fan of Xavier basketball and Ohio State football.
